The landscape and language of coaching and mentoring in a school context can be a little confusing at times. There are many dimensions to coaching in educational settings and leaders, teachers and students can all benefit from the supportive challenge and focus on incremental improvement that the approach offers.
Because school based coaching is so multi-faceted, there can be differing interpretations and understandings of what the terminology means and this clearly has implications for practice.
